AUCKLAND — The Easter Bunny has officially arrived in East Auckland! Today, Sunday, April 5, 2026, the iconic Howick Historical Village is hosting its annual Easter Extravaganza, transforming the seven-acre heritage site into a chocolate-filled wonderland for thousands of local families.
From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the Village is offering a unique “living history” twist on traditional Easter celebrations, blending 19th-century charm with modern-day family fun.

What’s Happening Today?
The 2026 program is packed with activities designed to get kids moving and exploring the historic grounds:
- The Great Egg Trail: Children can follow a trail through authentic 1840s cottages and gardens, solving clues to earn their chocolate rewards.
- Live Entertainment: Act One Productions is performing live shows throughout the day featuring the “Easter Fairy” training aspiring bunnies.
- The Bunny Boogie: A high-energy dance-off held on the village green to keep the kids entertained between egg hunts.
